Mac Daniels is back as Gene Boffa releases his second book, “Deception,” after leaving fans on the edges of their seats in his first book, “The Deed.”

North Korea’s weapons-grade uranium is missing. The Koreans have determined that the United States is responsible. The U.S. denies it, but the truth is, Mac Daniels has stolen it. To prevent a war Mac will have to make the ultimate sacrifice and return to North Korea to face the Supreme Leader, confessing his role in the stolen uranium. While in North Korea, Mac learns that ISIS has just brokered a deal with North Korea for surface to air missiles and the deadly gas, sarin. His only hope of getting out alive is his girlfriend Astrid. Mac must accept her help. Using her resources Astrid, a CEO of a world news company, secures a rare interview with the Supreme Leader in Pyongyang, in an effort to support Mac and secure an exit from the North. But the clock is ticking, as the Ministry of State Security starts to unravel their plans and an ISIS ship carrying the sarin and the surface to air missiles rapidly makes its way toward Syria. Mac has to stop the ship but the Ministry of State Security has given orders to prevent the couple’s exit from the country. To make matters worse, Astrid has been shot and needs to reach a hospital in South Korea. 

“Deception” is a realistic spy novel, with just the right amount of properly inserted humor, keeping the reader engaged and excitedly anxious to turn the next page only to find out that Boffa tricks the readers too with “Deception.”
