MSO70000 Mixed Signal Oscilloscope Named Winner in Oscilloscope Category By Readers and Editors of EDN Magazine

BEAVERTON , Ore. - Tektronix, Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer of oscilloscopes, today announced its MSO70000 Series of Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes has been named a winner of the coveted EDN Innovation Award in the Oscilloscopes, Digitizers, and Data Acquisition category. For 20 years Tektronix has been named a winner or finalist for this prestigious award, which provides industry acknowledgement to the consistency of innovation the company is delivering to the engineering community. Instituted in 1990, the EDN Innovation Awards honor the people, products, and technologies that have shaped the semiconductor industry over the past year.

“Innovation has continued aggressively throughout the economic downturn, as evidenced by EDN’s 20th annual Innovation Award winners,” said Rick Nelson, EDN’s editor-in-chief. “Thirty products won out over more than 130 finalists in very competitive categories. The Tektronix MSO70000 Mixed Signal Oscilloscope, which won in the Oscilloscope, Digitizer and Data Acquisition category, is a prime example of what key innovators can accomplish.”

MSO70000 Series of Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes, the industry’s first high-performance family of integrated MSOs, have up to 20 channels of measurement capture (4 analog and 16 digital) with analog bandwidth ranging from 4 to 20 GHz and 80 ps digital channel timing resolution.

“Receiving the EDN Innovation Award based on reader votes and opinions of the magazine’s editors is a special honor we hold in high regard,” said Brian Reich, general manager, Performance Oscilloscopes, Tektronix. “This industry recognition clearly demonstrates the relevance this performance-level mixed signal oscilloscope has on the electrical design community.”
