Atrua’s Fingerprint Touch Control Enables Fast and Secure Access and Exchange of Personal Information on Leyio’s Personal Sharing Device

CAMPBELL, Calif., March 25th, 2009 – Atrua Technologies, Inc. (www.atrua.com), the world’s leading provider of Intelligent Touch Controls™ for mobile devices, revealed today that Leyio selected Atrua’s market-leading ATW300 family of fingerprint touch control solutions for its recently announced Personal Sharing Device (PSD).

Leyio’s ground breaking new PSD, which will be commercially available starting Spring 2009 in France, promises to revolutionize the way people share pictures, music, movies, social networking information, and other data. With just a flick of the wrist, users can quickly and easily share and transfer data at speeds of up to 10 megabytes per second using ultra-wideband (UWB) wireless technology. In addition, the Leyio owner can exchange information with anybody, in an offline mode, using a USB memory device. The convenient biometric authentication capability of Atrua’s ATW300 fingerprint touch control, which is incorporated into the PSD, helps users protect their private personal data without compromising the speed and ease-of-use of the PSD application. Additionally, the navigation features provided by Atrua’s fingerprint touch control give users the ability to navigate the device’s interface using touch gestures.

“We selected Atrua’s fingerprint touch control, because the small sensor footprint and low-battery consumption helped us achieve the small size and long battery life that we required for our PSD,” commented Bruno Maurel, CEO of Leyio. “Their minutia-based fingerprint matching technology provides both accuracy and interoperability. Atrua’s biometric authentication capability combined with their rich touch-input features gave us a powerful way to add both convenience and security to the PSD with a single component.”

“Atrua is honored to have been selected by Leyio for its innovative PSD, which is the first to utilize UWB technology and fingerprint touch controls to give people new and better ways to share personal information,” said Carl Temme Atrua’s Vice-President of Sales & Marketing. “Our novel approach to fingerprint touch control technology was optimized from its outset to enable low-power, embedded applications like this.”
