Business-critical applications running on blade servers gain new levels of high availability thanks to a comprehensive package of proactive and reactive maintenance and support services introduced today by Fujitsu Siemens Computers. The complete SolutionContract BladeFrame services package is made up of remote support as well as scheduled maintenance for the Blade system and virtualization software, based on the ITIL standard (IT Infrastructure Library). In addition to greater guaranteed uptime of business-critical systems, customers also gain a dedicated Technical Account Manager as a central point of contact for all their support needs.
The proactive service components of SolutionContract BladeFrame can considerably increase the availability and efficiency of BladeFrame systems, since regular System Health Checks and Patch Management are able to identify critical system conditions at an early stage, so that service measures can be initiated before critical problems occur. Via remote services the customers receive proactive assistance from a support control center.
SolutionContract BladeFrame also provides reactive services with pre-defined response, arrival-on-site and system recovery times. These services include problem diagnostics via remote access as well as hardware and software troubleshooting measures. When spare parts are required, best-in-class logistics services ensure that these are supplied as quickly as possible. Fujitsu Siemens Computers additionally offers further support services, such as performance analyses and optimization, configuration changes and the installation of software updates.

Further, optional service agreements also support additional infrastructure elements, such as operating systems for pBlades (Microsoft Windows, Linux and Solaris) as well as SAN components and storage solutions.
Additional SolutionContracts are available for Dynamic Datacenter infrastructures, offering Service Level Agreements that are specially designed to meet a very wide range of business requirements – up to and including 24x7 continuous operations, with a choice of response times, arrival-on-site times, plus spare parts on-site and recovery times.
