Juniper Networks Earns 2006 Award of Excellence in Security from Ingram Micro
No. 1 Technology Distributor Recognizes Juniper Networks for Overall Channel Performance and Partner Engagement in Security
SUNNYVALE, Calif., October 31, 2006 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) today announced it received the 2006 Award of Excellence in Security from the world’s leading technology distributor Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM). Juniper Networks accepted the honor at Ingram Micro’s 2006 Marketing Symposium held earlier this month at the Sheraton in Anaheim, Calif.
Ingram Micro’s annual Awards of Excellence are based upon several criteria including the overall manufacturer engagement with Ingram Micro and its channel partners and the company’s achievements against performance metrics for revenue, profitability, marketing programs, reseller support and services. In 2005, Ingram Micro recognized Juniper Networks as the Best New Vendor.
“Juniper Networks has gained significant momentum within the IT channel and is a leading provider when it comes to security solutions,” said Ken Bast, vice president, vendor management, Ingram Micro U.S. “Juniper’s strong value proposition and strengthened commitment to partner profitability has increased its reseller base, improved sales and secured a leading share position within Ingram Micro’s Security category. We’re pleased to recognize Juniper Networks with the Award of Excellence in Security and commend them on their channel successes.”
In addition to the Award of Excellence, Juniper Networks recently won the Global Technology Distribution Council’s inaugural Rising Star Award for delivering double-digit growth in 2006 as a result of the company’s commitment to the channel and relationship with Ingram Micro.
“We’re honored to earn this year’s Award of Excellence in Security and want to thank Ingram Micro for its continued partnership,” says Donna Grothjan, vice president Worldwide Channel Strategy and Operations, Juniper Networks. “It is extremely rewarding to see our channel initiatives and the J-Partner program gain traction with solution providers and garner the attention of industry influencers like Ingram Micro. Our team is working hard to earn the business of today’s solution providers and we look forward to continuing our mutual success and driving more innovation, opportunity and value through the channel.”
