Logic PD to Speak at World’s Largest Telehealth Conference: ATA 2012

MINNEAPOLIS – April 25, 2012 — Logic PD’s director of software strategy, Mark Benson, is presenting at the American Telemedicine Association’s 17th Annual International Meeting & Exposition, the world’s largest telemedicine, telehealth and mHealth event. The conference is being held April 29 - May 1 in San Jose.
 
Benson will present, “Preparing for Future Health Technology Trends by Analyzing Current Consumer Demand,” on May 1 at 4:15 p.m. PT. His presentation will address the fact that slow regulatory cycles combined with the reality of fast-moving technology curves can cause new homecare telemedicine products to feel old to users who have the latest consumer technology. Benson will explore the problems and potential solutions to meet end user expectations of telehealth devices.

Mark Benson is the director of software strategy at Logic PD. Benson is responsible for leading product software development, championing the software aspects of the technology roadmap and setting the overall software strategy for the company. Since joining Logic PD in October 2000, Benson has led highly-creative and productive multi-discipline (industrial design, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, manufacturing) teams in the development of advanced embedded product designs for the industrial, medical, aerospace, military and consumer industries. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Bethel University and a master’s degree in software engineering from the University of Minnesota.
