Additional M-series Multiservice Edge Platforms Extend the Reach of One of China’s Most Extensive IP VPN Services

SUNNYVALE, Calif., February 23, 2006 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR) today announced that CPCNet Hong Kong Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of CITIC Pacific (SEHK: 267), has deployed Juniper Networks M-series multiservice edge routing platforms to expand its MPLS-based IP virtual private networking (VPN) service in Ningbo, Chengdu and Zhongshan. The added M-series platforms enable CPCNet to deliver voice, video and data traffic across its infrastructure with industry-leading levels of quality, performance and security.

“MPLS-based IP virtual private networking is a crucial business enabler for Greater China,” said Stephen Ho, CEO of CPCNet. “Many enterprises, including large Asian conglomerates, have multiple points of presence. By leveraging the cost efficiencies of a managed VPN service, such as that offered by CPCNet, these organizations enjoy high performance, high availability and excellent security, while being alleviated from the overhead of management and troubleshooting. We have been operating Juniper’s M-series routers since 2002 and have every reason to continue to rely on its excellent reliability and performance.”

Juniper Networks M-series multiservice edge routing platforms combine best-in-class IP/MPLS capabilities with unmatched reliability, performance and service flexibility. With the ability to support both existing and emerging Layer 2 and Layer 3 services simultaneously, the M-series offers a long-term, strategic investment for any network operator looking to benefit from the increased reliability, efficiency and flexibility of a multi-service IP/MPLS network without obsolescing existing networking equipment.
