MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO, February 16, 2006 – CA (NYSE:CA) today announced it has awarded a CDN $19,000 CA Together Technology Capacity Building Grant to The Montreal Children’s Hospital of the McGill University Health Center and its Foundation. The funding, provided through the CA Together Community Grants Program, will give the hospital much needed support to improve its IT infrastructure.

The Montreal Children’s Hospital is currently renovating its Hematology/Oncology In-Patient Ward to better serve the needs of critically ill cancer patients. CA’s contribution will help fund the hospital’s information technology needs, including a key audiovisual system for the conference room of the Oncology Ward. The audiovisual system will allow for presentations and training of medical care teams using state-of-the-art technology. This room will also be used for medical staff to discuss patient care with parents and caregivers.

“CA’s generous gift will enable the hospital to use technology to increase learning and training opportunities for interdisciplinary care teams, as well as enhance communications with parents of patients,” said Dr. Linda Christmann, associate executive director of The Montreal Children’s Hospital. “The audiovisual and technology installations will result in improved quality of care for our young patients. We believe they will also experience a better quality of life during their stays with us.”

“This grant reflects CA’s ongoing commitment to work with local organizations to improve the quality of life in communities where we live and work,” said Joanne Moretti, general manager for CA Canada. “With an improved IT infrastructure, The Montreal Children’s Hospital will be able to create a more positive healing environment for children with long-term illnesses.”
