KODAK PRINERGY Digital Workflow Streamlines Digital Print with Improved Automation and Connectivity

Innovative digital workflow system now available

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Designed specifically for the needs and requirements of digital printing workflows, such as higher job volumes and shorter runs than conventional environments, the KODAK PRINERGY Digital Workflow announced at drupa is now available. Providing a central production hub for digital print service providers, the KODAK PRINERGY Digital Workflow enables full job control with zero-touch automation and connectivity to a wide range of digital presses.

With the new PRINERGY Digital Workflow, customers can increase the profit potential of digital print by increasing press utilization and productivity using the Smart Lists function. The KODAK Digital Direct Software application allows users to batch process, filter, sort, manage, print, and queue digital jobs quickly and easily to single or multiple presses.

PRINERGY Digital Workflow includes a set of digital production tools that provide the extended automation, intelligent job handling, and flexibility required to drive productivity and efficiency for digital jobs. Smart Lists, for example, serves as an intuitive job scheduling tool that maximizes control and visibility over the production schedule by enabling digital printers to easily and quickly queue jobs according to production critical criteria such as stock type, due date, estimated time to print and customer information.

Via integrated JDF/JMF bidirectional connectivity options for digital presses, PRINERGY Digital Workflow can provide instant live device status feedback, report on job status, and log and track all production history. In addition, the PRINERGY Digital Workflow is tightly integrated with KODAK Web to Print Solutions, which allow print service providers to turn their digital presses into 24-hour stores, delivering profitable, hands-free work and providing customers with easy, flexible ways to do business. This integration with Web to Print Solutions also provides an avenue for print service providers to easily transition to marketing service providers by helping them broaden their portfolios of customer offerings and generate new revenue streams.
