Pre-Configured Solutions Combine Check Point’s Best-of-Breed Security Applications with Crossbeam’s X-Series, Delivering Integrated Check Point-Led Support

LAS VEGAS – Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, and Crossbeam Systems, Inc., the leading provider of next-generation security platforms for high-performance networks, announced a joint offering for delivering Check Point security solutions on Crossbeam’s carrier-class X-Series security platform.

Customers can now purchase pre-configured bundles of Check Point’s best-of-breed security applications running on the X-Series from a preset menu of options and price points. The options were developed based on the best-selling solutions of Check Point running on Crossbeam.

Additionally, customers will be able to purchase integrated maintenance support that will be delivered by Check Point’s award-winning global service organization. This Check Point service offering will include support for Check Point’s software products in addition to the Crossbeam Next Generation Security Platform.

“To better serve our customers from both a product and service perspective, we are leveraging the depth and breadth of experience we have with large, high-performance network deployments that utilize Crossbeam,” said Amnon Bar-Lev, vice president of Global Field Operations at Check Point. “This new offering unifies many popular security configurations into tightly integrated pre-packaged bundles, simplifying the purchasing and support processes for our customers, while improving overall network security.”

There will be nine pre-configured packages to choose from, each of which includes all the components of the X-Series platform and Check Point’s VPN-1 security gateway, VSX virtualized firewall or IPS intrusion detection and prevention. All of Check Point’s security applications have been certified to run on the X-Series to ensure optimized and unprecedented performance within large, multi-vendor network environments.

The combined packages are designed to simplify the ordering process and promote closer product, sales and technical collaboration between Crossbeam and Check Point to support customer needs

“This offering is a natural extension of our expanding partnership with Check Point and significantly enhances and simplifies the customer lifecycle – from sales through service and support,” said Jim Vedda, vice president of Worldwide Sales at Crossbeam Systems. “Our collaboration with Check Point is a manifestation of our commitment to helping customers maximize the value of their Crossbeam and Check Point investment.”

The joint offering will also enable channel partners to easily guide customers through the selection process with a comprehensive, yet clear set of options for running common Check Point configurations on the Crossbeam chassis.

“A major benefit of the pre-packaged bundles is the simplification of what can become a complex ordering process,” said Laurie Usewicz, vice president of sales at Westcon, a leading distributor of Crossbeam and Check Point security solutions. “This not only makes it easier for us to engage with customers to meet their security needs more quickly, we also expect it to minimize the time it takes for us to realize revenue streams. With a single escalation point for support, the customers’ experience is enhanced. These are the types of solutions we want deliver.”
