London.- EMI Music Publishing’s singer-songwriters enjoyed another successful night at tonight’s BRIT Awards, which were held at London’s Earls Court.

Fresh from winning Best Pop Vocal Album at the Grammys in Los Angeles last week, Welsh singer-songwriter Duffy dominated the ceremony by picking up Best Female Artist, Best Breakthrough Artist, and Best Album for Rockferry. Duffy, who was signed to EMI Music Publishing by Vice President of Creative, Austin Wilde, became an international star after the release of Rockferry in March last year. The album is still in the UK top 20 fifty weeks after its original release.

Kanye West, whose fourth studio album 808s & Heartbreak was released at the end of last year, won in the Best International Solo Artist category. This is the third time that West has won the award, following his victories last year and in 2006.

EMI Music Publishing UK President Guy Moot commented: “This is the culmination of a remarkable twelve months for Duffy, and reflects how her songs have really touched a chord with people across the world. Everybody at EMI Music Publishing is incredibly proud of both her and Kanye West, and we’re looking forward to another exciting year to come.”
