Customer Testimonials for Semiconductor IP Added to ChipEstimate.com

Candid User Comments to Provide Valuable Information on Design and Verification IP

SAN JOSE, Calif., In a move aimed at helping IC design teams find the best available IP for their projects, www.ChipEstimate.com today announced that it has invited its user community and IP partners to begin adding customer testimonials to its online IP catalog. Members of the ChipEstimate.com community can now read about other design teams’ experiences with specific IP and offer up their own testimonials as well.

The site will be moderated, and ChipEstimate.com will validate the identity of the party offering the testimonial to verify its authenticity. The ChipEstimate.com IP ecosystem was recognized Feb. 3 with a DesignVision Award by the International Engineering Consortium (IEC).

“This new capability plays to the strength of ChipEstimate.com as an established knowledge base of IP by adding valuable feedback from real-world IP chip architects and designers,” said John Blyler, editor of Chip Design magazine and consulting editor for the System-Level Design portal. “ChipEstimate.com already provides standards-based evaluation metrics for IP from the major suppliers and foundries. The new customer testimonials feature adds a Web 2.0 element of user inputs that will further build the site as the place to evaluate and select peer reviewed IP.”
