John LeMoncheck to Provide Insights on Expanding Field of Wireless Multimedia Technology
Who: John LeMoncheck, President & CEO of SiBEAM, Inc, a fabless semiconductor company and pioneer in intelligent 60GHz millimeter wave (mmWave) technologies.
What: Mr. LeMoncheck will speak at the CES 2009 panel “Wireless Home AV: Cutting All the Cords”, discussing the new digital connectivity technology available today that allows consumers to simply share and transfer content as well as to create a wireless video area network (WVAN). Mr. LeMoncheck will be joined by other industry executives and will discuss how SiBEAM’s award-winning chipsets using 60GHz technology offer the superior choice for the highest quality in-room A/V experience. About John LeMoncheck
A seasoned electronics executive, LeMoncheck hails from Silicon Image where he was Vice President of the company’s Consumer Electronics and PC/Display business. In that role, LeMoncheck was responsible for all product, market and business strategy development and execution and led the company’s efforts to promote worldwide adoption of HDMI. Prior to Silicon Image, LeMoncheck was vice president of software and systems engineering for TeraLogic (purchased by Zoran), directing all platform and software implementations for TeraLogic’s digital television solutions. He also ran the customer support and professional service organizations, including the development of key design wins at a number of top-tier consumer electronics manufacturers. Prior to joining TeraLogic, LeMoncheck was a member of the founding team at Arithmos, Inc (purchased by ST Microelectronics) where he was vice president of engineering and developed Arithmos’ line of display processors targeted at the flat panel market. In the past, LeMoncheck also directed The LEGO Company’s West Coast design center, which was focused on high-tech toys, including the successful MINDSTORMS product line.
LeMoncheck attended U.C. San Diego and spent several years researching VLSI for imaging and pattern recognition applications during his graduate studies at Caltech.
