The new On-Ramp features live presentations and demonstrations of the Freescale L family of 8-bit microcontrollers, and is being offered free of charge upon request for qualified Avnet customers in North America.

The new Avnet On-Ramp Technical Session helps accelerate customer development cycles by demonstrating how the L family provides an ideal solution for portable and small appliances that require ultra-low-power performance and design flexibility. The trio of 8-bit MCUs, including the S08LL (LL), RS08LA (LA) and RS08LE (LE), provide LCD driver support for up to eight backplanes to drive more segments with fewer pins - thus reducing costs and enabling more efficient designs.
