Corra Group Develops Vetting Background Checking Package for Finance Executives
(Los Angeles) Corra Group has developed a special background checking package to vet potential job candidates in the finance industry. With the economic downtown and subsequent collapse of financial institutions, Corra is providing this special package to protect staffing agencies and employers against finance executives accused of convicted of white collar crimes.
“We anticipate an accelerated use of this package. In addition to the usual background checks, employment and education verification, etc., we have added extra elements to this search,” said Nick Gustavson, Co-Founder of Corra. “We have included criminal and civil background searches from every reporting agency, county, state and federal, and we have added our comprehensive background search as well as a credit report.”
Marcia Basichis, a partner at Steinbrun Hughes, a retained executive search firm specializing in the finance industry, told of how she has been inundated with resumes from bankers, brokers and other finance executives who have suddenly found themselves out of work.
“We want to be sure these execs aren’t tainted goods, before we submit them to our clients,” said Marcia Basichis. “If criminal or civil charges are going to be brought against these guys, we want to know before we embarrass ourselves.”
Gustavson suggest that attorneys undergoing pre-trial research may avail themselves of the package, or an amended package. “If attorneys are bringing suit, and that is inevitable, our background services will help them with their pre-trial research. We are also offering business credit reports, which provide detailed information on millions of companies around the world.”
