Backed by the Absolute Theft Recovery Team

All Absolute theft recovery solutions are backed by the efforts of the Absolute Theft Recovery Team. Staffed by former law enforcement officers, the team can find stolen computers because they have relationships with over 1,000 police departments across North America. With over 650 years of combined law enforcement experience, the Absolute Theft Recovery Team recovers an average of 50 lost or stolen computers on a weekly basis.

When a computer is stolen, the Absolute Theft Recovery Team uses information sent via Computrace to investigate computer thefts, document evidence and work with local law enforcement to physically recover missing computers and prosecute computer thieves. To augment their investigation, the team uses a powerful set of theft recovery tools developed by Absolute, which include capabilities such as keystroke loggers, cameras, location tracking (Wi-Fi, GPS) and remote access tools. These tools are only employed post-theft with express customer authorization and consent and are used exclusively by Absolute’s trained professionals in order to protect privacy.
