AMD Recognizes Fujimi as top World Class Supplier with Pathfinder Award

-Five other suppliers receive World Class Supplier, Achievement Awards-

SUNNYVALE, California .-AMD (NYSE: AMD) announced that Fujimi Corporation earned the company’s prestigious Pathfinder Award for Best Manufacturing Materials Supplier. AMD also recognized five other suppliers with Achievement Awards. Teltec GmbH and EHWA Diamond Ind. CO., LTD., JSR Micro N.V, Siliconware Precision Industries Co., Ltd (SPIL), and Phoenix Precision Technology Corporation (PPt) were all named as winners of Achievement Awards. The winners will receive the awards at separate ceremonies in Dresden, Germany and Markham, Canada.

The AMD World Class Supplier Process measures suppliers annually for outstanding performance and exceptional service for manufacturing materials and services. There are two levels of awards achievable: the Pathfinder Award for the best suppliers on overall performance in the areas of Technology, Quality, Cost, Flexibility and Service (TQCFS); and the Achievement Award for exceptional performance in one of those areas.

Pathfinder Award
Fujimi Corporation is being recognized for the company’s world-class level of overall technology support and commitment to AMD. Fujimi offers leading technology for Chemical Mechanical Polishing (CMP) slurries used in AMD’s sophisticated CMP manufacturing processes.

Achievement Awards

* Teltec GmbH and EHWA Diamond Ind. CO., Ltd. are both selected to receive an Achievement Award in recognition of their consistently high level of support and responsiveness for the AMD World Class Supplier team. Teltec GmbH is acting as the distributor of CMP consumables made by EHWA Diamond Ind. CO., Ltd., Korea.
* JSR Micro N.V. is selected to receive an Achievement Award in recognition of JSR’s consistently high level of support and commitment to AMD’s state of the art lithography solutions. JSR offers a comprehensive range of photochemical technologies and research and development capabilities to meet AMD’s needs.
* The winner of the Achievement Award for Best Supplier of Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Testing (OSAT) services is SPIL in recognition of the company’s world-class level of overall technology support and commitment to AMD. SPIL offers leading technology, competitive cost, and excellent quality in bump, wafer sort, assembly and final test for graphics, chipset, digital television and handheld products.
* PPt is selected to receive the Achievement Award in recognition of their consistently high level of support and responsiveness in manufacturing and supplying substrates to support AMD’s business in Graphics, Chipsets as well as DTV and Handheld space. PPt offers a comprehensive range of substrates which includes Flip Chip, Wire Bond, CSP and Hybrid to meet the increasingly sophisticated and divergent product-and-service requirements of the global semiconductor industry.
