KOMATSU to open Human Resource Development Center in the Philippines

KOMATSU LTD. (President and CEO, Mr. Kunio Noji) is soon to open Komatsu Human Resources Development (H.R.D.) Center in the Philippines.

With the growing number of deliveries of KOMATSU construction and mining equipment in all areas of the world, KOMATSU has decided to strengthen even more the Product Support capabilities of the entire Komatsu Group from the medium-to-long term perspective.

The Komatsu H.R.D. Center’s main objective is to provide an enrichment training program designed to update and upgrade technical knowledge of Filipino engineers who are already employed by various Komatsu offices and distributors worldwide. Komatsu will also utilize the Komatsu H.R.D. Center to provide comprehensive training to new college graduates. Komatsu H.R.D. Center’s comprehensive training curriculum includes Komatsu’s quality control and assurance systems, expertise in knowledge of products and basic-to-advanced know-how concerning technical service and support skills in order to promote the growth of Filipino service engineers who can work at Komatsu’s offices and distributors around the world.

Komatsu has made an agreement with the Construction Manpower Development Foundation (CMDF), an auxiliary organization of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), to use its facility - the Construction Manpower Development Center (CMDC) located in Cavite (35 kilometers Southwest of Metro Manila). This program of Komatsu will make a big contribution to the DTI’s human resource development program by means of transferring the service engineering skills to CMDF and conducting operator and mechanic training programs jointly with CMDF.
