Derrick Harper’s Wealth Funnel Syetem (WFS) & Developmental Performance Consultants (DPC) Introduce Online Marketing Education Students to the Wonderful World of BLOGS

New students to the online marketing education scene are learning first-hand, from Derrick Harper’s Wealth Funnel System (WFS) and the team at Developmental Performance Consultants (DPC), how to implement the web 2.0 technology of Blog Platforms into their personal branding marketing campaigns.

A blog is an online interactive journal used by marketers to build relationships with clients through ongoing dialogues. Blogs have been around the internet since 1999 and have been reshaping the worlds of journalism, politics, music, art, videos, audios, photographs, and text. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic.

Currently WFS and DPC students are implementing “Hosted” & “Stand Alone” blog platforms.

Hosted blog platforms are free to post to, easy to implement, simple to use, and are indexed to the Search Engines rather quickly. A few of the hosted blogs they are using are: blogger.com, myspace.com, and wordpress.com.

Stand Alone blog platforms are also free to post to, however, there are domain name fees and blog hosting fee. There is more flexibility with the stand alone blog platform in that the domain name of the blog can be the same as the company domain name for ease of use by existing and potential clients. The design of this type of blog is up to the website owner whereas the hosted blog is made from a template. A couple of the stand alone blogs Derrick Harper’s team is using are: wordpress.org (currently #1 on the blog spot list of the top 50) and problogger.net.

Online Marketing Education students are encouraged to study the 2 blog platforms carefully before implementing them into their online marketing campaigns as each has its’ place and serves a different purpose. The Wealth Funnel System online marketing education stresses the importance of utilizing as many of the web 2.0 technology platforms as possible to get their messages out to their online audience looking to them as the experts for their products and services.
