Orange Glo & Oxiclean Brand Finds New Affiliate Network

New York, NY April 18, 2008 – After having started out with LinkShare as their affiliate network company, the makers of Oxiclean and Orange Glo have ended their relationship them and are now using Commission Junction instead.

The relationship with LinkShare started several years ago. Even long before Church & Dwight Co., the brand’s current owners, bought the Orange Glo Company for about $325 million dollars back in January of 2006.

Jay Garces Jr., one of Church & Dwight’s affiliate publishers and owner of www.AsCleanedOnTv.com, had this to say; “I’ve been with Orange Glo program almost since its inception. So, when I got an email from them saying that they would be ending their relationship with the network in late March I was a bit surprised. The email notice didn’t give much of a reason for the move. I figured ’what the heck’. I don’t think this is necessarily a bad thing so I’ve decided to continue marketing the orange glo and oxiclean products as I’ve done now for quite some time”.

LinkShare and Commission Junction are large affiliate marketing networks. With commission payouts in the affiliate marketing industry reaching into the billions of dollars, the relationship between a merchant and an affiliate network is a very serious one. Oftentimes it can amount to millions of dollars in revenues.

Jay says, “Because there’s a lot of money to be made in this industry, it’s not trivial when a merchant decides to leave an affiliate network. Maybe they left because they felt they could get better online distribution for their other brands as they don’t only sell oxyclean and orange glo, but Arm & Hammer products too”.

Of course, one has yet to see if the move to CJ will result in more revenues and affiliate partnerships for Church & Dwight. Though relationship changes like this happen in the business world all the time, the bottom line is how much those involved will stand to profit. Hopefully this new partnership will create long term success for all parties.
