Dynamic Site Solution For National Security Website

AUSTRALIA .- The reliability of the Australian Government’s National Security website has been enhanced with a new worldwide technical support system.

The National Security website offers a single access point for counter-terrorism information from the Australian Government. In the event of an incident, the National Security website would provide up-to-date information on coordination arrangements and the national counter-terrorism plan.

Spokesperson for the Attorney-General’s Department Graham Fry said today that Akamai Technologies had worked closely with the Attorney-General’s Department over the past year to upgrade the site and will continue to support the National Security website over the next two years. “We felt it was important the National Security website could continue to be available to the public during an incident,” said Mr Fry. “Security incidents raise a great deal of public concern. In turn, that can generate huge numbers of visits to our website. Akamai has delivered a solution which will keep the site available even under such intense pressure.”

Akamai’s Dynamic Site Solution uses a network of thousands of servers in approximately 70 countries to route requests, balance loads and improve performance of the website.
