Corel Appoints Former Sage Software Executive as New Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Americas


Corel Corporation (NASDAQ:CREL) (TSX:CRE), a leading developer of graphics, productivity and digital media software, today announced that Kevin Thornton has been named Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Americas. An industry executive with more than fifteen years of experience, Thornton rejoins Corel to lead the company’s sales and marketing efforts across the Americas.

Prior to rejoining Corel, Thornton was the Senior Vice President of Sales at Sage Software, working in the Small Business Division. In this position, he was responsible for all sales channels and new customer acquisition for leading Sage Software brands such as ACT!®, Peachtree®, Simply Accounting® and Timeslips®. Previously, Thornton was the Vice President Sales, Americas at Corel, where he helped to lead the company through multiple successful product launches.

In his new role, Thornton will be responsible for leading the company’s sales and marketing efforts across the Americas with specific emphasis on further expanding the Company’s reach through retailers and resellers as well as original equipment manufacturers and online service providers.
