Internet Magazine Developing New Creative Talent

WEBWIRE

Last December David Paul wrote an article about internet shopping that included our site www.WhereDoI.co.uk so I though that I would send you our latest story:

The, soon to be launched, online multimedia magazine www.WDI-Fusion.co.uk has a mission - To Promote New Creative Talent. To do this it has taken the unusual step of developing an online community that is promoting British video producers, writers, designers, small local producers and artists.

Karon Roberts the Creative Director said recently “Contributors to the multimedia magazine can use whatever medium they feel most comfortable working in, from video, sound recordings, animations to written text. Articles will range from cookery, gardening and flower arranging through to politics, business and travel with sport and the arts in between. The choice is yours.” She went on to explain “This is a great way to develop a new career as a web video producer, writer, or journalist, or to broaden the horizons of those that are already up and running. It can also help raise your profile if you are an artist or designer”

The social networking website www.WDI-Fusion.co.uk will generate revenue by sponsorship from socially aware corporate business wishing to promote their brand by association. In addition it will gain revenue from local small business and individual wanting to advertise on relevant pages that will benefit from the National and International exposure. Thus an article on Ipswich, or Inverness aimed at the weekend break market would contain discreet advertising blocks on places to stay and of interest, local crafts people, boutiques and specialist shops. Whilst an article about a hobby, such as knitting, would contain advertisements for craft producers, products and books on the subject.

“I want to encourage everybody to have a go at producing an article about your passion, hobby or business and submitting it to us. You never know what talent you may discover it can lead to a future income and who knows where that might lead.”

She continued “Without a dedicated team building a presence on the internet it is hard for most small business to maintain their Search Engine Ranking and Internet Traffic. With Web 2.0, as they call it, where content is king and social interaction is vital, the level playing field, that originally existed on the internet, is becoming a thing of the past for many businesses. We hope that this new site will help to rebalance the scales.”

The www.WDI-Fusion.co.uk site will build upon the www.WhereDoI.co.uk brand, as in Where Do I find Something Special, established 1st August 2006. The site specialises in design lead gifts particularly those designed and manufactured in the UK. The site created the connection between the Artist and Designer and the Customer by the innovative use of video.
