Tim Ponzek Sings His “Faded Blue Dreams”

Singer/songwriter Tim Ponzek delves into his passion for the true roots country styles with his newest recording “Faded Blue Dreams” (Opus Fromus 9005, www.opusfromus.com or iTunes). Ponzek’s songs take you back to a time when Cadillacs had fins and music came on vinyl! From the opening Johnny Cash inspired country two-beat “Dam The Water” to the fiddle on the western swing “The Whole Enchilada” to the Willie Nelson styled ballad “One Tear Down (One Million To Go)” Tim Ponzek maintains an old country vibe that would go well with a bottle of aged whiskey.

When asked about “Faded Blue Dreams”, Ponzek says “I’ve always felt a good song is good when you write it and it will hold up as the years go on. Most of these songs were written in the old traditional country style that I love. The songwriters from the 50’s and 60’s have given us all a strong legacy to build on. That’s what I aim for.”

Always passionate about songwriting, Tim Ponzek grew up in a musical family in Philadelphia. Ponzek’s father was a country vocalist who made a living driving trucks.
