BASF at the 2007 All China Leather Exhibition in Shanghai

Focus on innovation and environmental protection

The All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) will be held from 5 - 7 September 2007 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. BASF will be located in Hall W2 on Stand C 7.

This year, BASF will be focusing on innovative products and process that offer distinct ecological and economic advantages as well as displaying its extensive range of established products for use at all stages of the production process. The new Lipoderm® Eco AS is the highlight at this year’s exhibition, and new products from the Mollescal® and Lepton® ranges will also be displayed that have been specially developed for the Chinese market. Joachim Henkmann, head of BASF’s leather business in East Asia, emphasized the growing importance of local products: “We have been supplying leather chemicals in China for more than fifty years. Our customers expect intensive technical services and demand quality products that meet their individual requirements. Our new liming auxiliaries and Lepton® FE pigment range will satisfy these demands.”

An international team of experts will be in attendance to advise customers and to inform them about our innovative new developments and our extensive range of established, high-quality products.



Lipoderm® Eco AS – High performance combined with very low fogging
Lipoderm® Eco AS is a new product that sets completely new standards of performance for fatliquors. For the first time, it is now possible to obtain leather that is very soft, has an even grain break after milling and that responds well to dyeing combined with extremely low fogging. Lipoderm® Eco AS is distinguished by its low chemical oxygen demand and its low VOC content. It sets new standards on nappa leather, garment leather, upholstery leather and automotive leather.
