New trading architecture, Windows Presentation Foundation-based trading demo and Office Excel 2007 “on steroids” take center stage in Microsoft suites at leading trade show.

What: At the 2007 SIFMA Technology Management Conference & Exhibit, the largest technology trade show for the securities industry, Microsoft Corp. and industry partners will showcase new innovative technologies impacting Wall Street, including the following:

Microsoft .NET StockTrader. This downloadable turnkey implementation based on online stock trading scenarios illustrates best-practice programming for high-performance, scalable and interoperable service-oriented applications using Microsoft® .NET Framework 3.0.

Windows Presentation Foundation demo. Microsoft, Linedata Services and Lab49 Inc. joined forces to build a trading demonstration that showcases the dazzling new features of Windows® Presentation Foundation for the buy-side community.
•

Real-time trading data in Office Excel 2007. GigaSpaces is working with Microsoft to integrate its high-performance, low-latency Space-Based Architecture with Windows Compute Cluster Server, Office Excel® 2007 and Excel Services. A high-volume market data application that involves Office Excel 2007 and GigaSpaces will be demonstrated.
•

Reference architecture for complex event processing. Microsoft and StreamBase Systems Inc. will demonstrate new architecture that enables .NET applications to access very low-latency data streams as part of algorithmic trading solutions.

2007 Microsoft Office system and Windows Vista. Demonstrations will show how the 2007 Office release and Windows Vista® streamline business intelligence, collaboration and compliance within the securities industry.
