EMSL Analytical Offers Free Mold Tests to Families in Need

EMSL is proud to be one of the first providers of a new home mold test kit based on research from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Unlike other mold test kits for homes that use questionable science, these test kits are the most complete screening method available using the science and DNA technology developed by EPA researchers.

According to the EPA molds produce allergens, irritants, and potentially toxic substances. The EPA also recognizes that mold exposure can trigger asthma attacks. According to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) over 20 million Americans are affected by asthma, 30,000 people have an asthma attack each day, and 11 people die daily due to asthma.

EMSL has decided to donate a limited supply of these free home mold test kits and laboratory analyses to qualified residents and/or homeowners to help those families that cannot otherwise afford this important test. The process is simple, with a single dust sample from a residence collected and then analyzed. The dust collection device is supplied as part of the kit along with complete sampling instructions and a prepaid return shipping container to the laboratory.
