Agilent Technologies Wins Prestigious Supply-Chain Excellence Award
Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced that it has received the Aberdeen Group Performance Excellence Supply Chain Award, which recognizes companies that have attained measurable business growth and mastered methods for financial, operational and customer-centric excellence via their supply-chain activities.
Based solely on research results compiled over a 12-month period, the nominees are reviewed and approved by Aberdeen’s Research Oversight Committee. Agilent accepted the award at the Aberdeen Group Supply Chain Summit 2007 held in Boston earlier this month. Aberdeen Research is a leading provider of fact-based research and market intelligence focused on the value chain.
Aberdeen cited Agilent’s effective use of resources to achieve greater business results through exceptional management and leadership as its reason for winning the award.
“We are excited about the progress that Agilent has made and are unanimous in our selection of Agilent in recognition of its supply chain performance excellence,” stated Beth Enslow, senior vice president of Enterprise Research at Aberdeen.
Agilent Vice President and General Manager for Electronic Measurements Group Supply Chain, Shidah Ahmad, accepted the award at the ceremony, saying, “We thank Aberdeen for the honor of this award, which marks a milestone toward Agilent’s goal to create value for our customers and stakeholders. This award validates our initiatives to achieve a best-in-class supply chain, and spurs us on to greater heights of achievement.”
