Sony Security Solution Affiliate Program Takes off

Sony’s Security Solution Affiliate Program is continually adding more participants, with many gathered at this week’s International Security Conference (ISC) West show here in Las Vegas.

The program, which launched last year, supports vendors, manufacturers and developers of hardware, software and integrated security solutions. Participants gain insight into Sony’s latest IPELA® IP security camera and recorder offerings, while also receiving support for installations and integrations.

Program benefits include advanced technical information, priority technical support on implementations, marketing updates, information on evaluation/demonstration unit purchase programs, and access to examples of successful installations.

The program highlights IPELA recorder and network camera technology, including the latest DEPA or Distributed Enhanced Processing Architecture-enabled models that incorporate analytics as well as offer multi-format JPEG/MPEG4/H.264 compression options.

Program participants encompass companies from the core security industry, as well as those from allied fields like wireless communications that are driving the move toward IP-based security.

Typically in the past, elements in a security system could operate as mix-and-match standalone components. But the advantages of using DEPA technology come from integrating such analytic capabilities as intelligent motion detection, intelligent object detection, voice alert and dynamic frame integration, which are the signature of Sony’s third-generation cameras.

GENETEC

Genetec’s Omnicast™ is an enterprise IP video surveillance solution that incorporates innovations, such as the virtual matrix, fully fault-tolerant software and citywide surveillance. According to the company, Omnicast has established its ability to deliver seamless management of security video, audio and data in numerous markets including homeland, enterprise, public and VIP security.

MILESTONE

Milestone’s XProtect™ Corporate and XProtect Enterprise open platform IP video management software, according to the company, is designed for flexible operation of an unlimited number of cameras, multiple servers and multiple sites. Delivered with a Remote Client, Smart Client, and PDA Client, it also offers API integration with other systems and devices using the Milestone SDK.
