West Caldwell, N.J., November 08, 2006 — Ricoh Corporation, a leading provider of digital office equipment, today introduced the Aficio MP 2510/MP 3010 Series of Digital Imaging Multifunctional Products (MFP’s). Designed to achieve greater productivity for an office with limited resources and tight deadlines, the Ricoh Aficio MP 2510/MP 3010 Series offers busy workgroups the power to perform quickly and efficiently.

Built on the strong features of its predecessor, the Aficio MP 2510/MP 3010 Series offers all of the functions of the Aficio 3025/3030 Series. This new series allows Ricoh to provide more affordable and flexible printing solutions, while still maintaining all the innovation and dependability of the Aficio 3025/3030 Series. The new MP 2510/ MP 3010 RPCS Network Printing configuration offers a flexible upgrade path for faxing and PCL/Scanning and is the ideal, low-cost printing solution. Features of the Aficio MP 2510/MP 3010 include printing at 25 and 30 pages per minute (ppm), at 600 dpi, a 466 MHz processor and 384 MB RAM.

To reduce network traffic, the Aficio MP 2510/MP 3010 Series features Scan-to-URL, which reduces network congestion by sending a URL link to access a document rather than an entire file. The PDF Direct Print function also streamlines network workflow by allowing the user to print a PDF document without opening and expanding the document.

Beyond boosting productivity and efficiency, safeguarding sensitive information is a top priority for any business or organization. Recognizing the importance of data security, the Aficio MP 2510/MP 3010 Series is outfitted with Network Windows and LDAP authentication that ensures only authorized personnel are able to use the machine. In addition, the Hold/Stored/Locked print features hold the print job securely in the MFP until the sender releases the job at the control panel – an ideal solution for printing confidential documents.
