Suzanne Jaffe Stillman Awarded Two Patents for FiberWater and Infusion Pods From Mainland China Patent Office

(EMAILWIRE.COM, October 27, 2006) Los Angeles, CA – The Republic of China has further opened its recognition of the commercial interests of other countries by issuing the first two patents to an American inventor, Suzanne Jaffe Stillman, the creator of “Stillman’s Fiber Water,” for intellectual properties in the healthy beverage category.

Her patented FiberWater invention provides a proprietary combination of at least seven different soluble fibers in water without changing the look, or the taste of sparkling or pure fresh water.

It has long been recognized by the International community of scientists and physicians that water is necessary to life and fiber the 6th most important nutrient is necessary for healthy living. The U.S. Government, in its effort to encourage Americans to consume more fiber, has established the website, www.nationalfibercouncil.org

A long-time resident of Beverly Hills and Los Angeles, Ms. Stillman, has now received her 14th issued patent, while her intellectual property portfolio covers forty (40) countries on all five (5) continents.

A University of Southern California graduate, she first embarked on her life of scientific creativeness in 1970, when her son Jason was diagnosed with a rare genetic liver disorder, Glycogen Storage Disease (GSD), a devastating disease that interferes with the body’s normal process of metabolizing carbohydrates.

Since her son required a different method of receiving food, despite much dissident opinions, she invented the state-of-the-art tube to be inserted into the stomach, with a one-way valve, for which she was awarded two patents from the U.S. Patent office. In order to provide the best liquid nutrition for his feedings, Suzanne created Nutraceutical liquids for feeding tubes in the kitchen at Boston Children’s Hospital Her son, now 36, is testament to her persistence and inventiveness.

She considers herself a “delivery systems inventor” which, through her systems, will enable everyone to have a healthier life. It is her goal to have a portion of the profits, from the sale of her products be used to help those children and families, for whom life has dealt an unfair hand.
