Palm Beach, FL October 16, 2006

Debi Rodi has turned her passion for fabulous shoes into a line of designer footwear, with the overriding concern for comfort. “Where Chic meets Comfort” Her inspiration comes from years of collecting shoes, at anytime there may be 200 pairs in her closet. Researching the market the last few years resulted in a void of shoes under $300. That is the niche Rodi plans to fill, with retail prices for the Debi Rodi Footwear line ranging from $175.00- $300.00 As a fashion designer and interior designer spanning 20 years, she has incorporated classic details with a twist of ladylike whimsy. Fine nappa, calf and custom leathers are used as well as fabrics taken from the traditional home furnishings trade. The collection encompasses day and evening looks all produced exclusively in Italy with the finest Tuscan craftsmanship.

“Shoes are every Woman’s passion, but they don’t want to suffer to suffer for them.” Her focus for the line is to celebrate the Baby Boomers. They are the ones in Power, Rodi 47 feels fashion and style is a mindset rather than an age. NPD group charted “The Boomers as 45-60 years old account for 25% of the $100 billion total apparel sales.”

“The shoes are beautiful and most important comfortable, “they make all women feel confident in herself and her own personal style when wearing them.” The spring /summer 2007 Collection was inspired while in Italy this summer. Nautical Classic, with a color story of black and white, red and navy with metallic leathers is the theme. The wave heel is her signature high heel, with wedges and reminiscent of the Audrey Hepburn days the kitten heel. An air of refinement dictates the mules and sandals in fabrics of checks and stripes and the seasons must have patent leather. All the shoes have the padded innersole construction.

The first collection debuted at Rodi’s signature store The Pink Pump Palm Beach.
With 15 years of retail experience The Pink Pump was the launch pad, opened December 2005.
“Palm Beach reaches an audience from around the world.”
