Medtronic Receives 2006 Humanitarian Award
American Academy of Otolaryngology awards Medtronic for its role in championing medical and surgical outreach to developing countries
MINNEAPOLIS – Sept. 18, 2006 – Medtronic (NYSE: MDT) announced today that the company received the 2006 Distinguished Corporate Award for Humanitarian Efforts from the American Academy of Otolaryngology (AAO). The award was presented today to the company at a special ceremony conducted during OTO Expo 2006 in Toronto. Medtronic received the award in recognition of its role in championing medical and surgical outreach of AAO members to developing countries.
