The title of the milestone episode was Marine Corps Vietnam Vet Overcomes and Inspires. The podcast was created by author and speaker Mack Payne in January of 2014 after he published his book “Vietnam Veteran Memoirs” about his two tours in Vietnam.

The large amount of response to the book was the motivation for Payne to create a podcast devoted to topics of interest for Vietnam Veterans or anyone interested in the Vietnam War and the people who fought in that war. Topics include interviews with veterans and reports on a wide range of topics related to Vietnam including political considerations, Agent Orange, Jane Fonda, Bob Hope Shows and examinations of battles such as the Ia Drang Valley, Dak To, Hamburger Hill, Khe Sanh and Operation Hastings to name a few.
