Finalists Announced for Technology Association of Georgia’s Fifth Annual TAG Marketing Awards

The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), the state’s leading association dedicated to the promotion and economic advancement of Georgia’s technology industry, today announced the finalists for the fifth annual TAG Marketing Awards.  This year’s TAG Marketing Awards will be a premier event for the tech marketing community with awards bestowed to the top technology marketers in the city.

Winners will be announced at a gala event on Tuesday, November 18 from 6pm-9pm at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.  Richard Warner will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the event.  Warner is well-known in Georgia’s marketing and technology communities. He is founder and CEO of What’s Up Interactive and is frequently a business commentator on Fox5 WAGA.  He spent 30 years as a host and managing editor interviewing CEOs on “Georgia’s Business” on the state’s PBS network, as well as 20 years as a commentator on Atlanta’s WXIA and WAGA TV.

Guest speakers will be David Cummings, CEO, Kevy and Atlanta Ventures, and Emmet Burns, Senior Vice President, Enterprise Marketing Director, SunTrust Banks, Inc.  Cummings is a well-known entrepreneur in the Atlanta area, starting various small companies and founding Atlanta Tech Village, the largest entrepreneur center in the Southeast.  Burns is responsible for SunTrust Banks, Inc.’s brand, advertising, media, marketing strategy, integrated marketing planning, direct marketing, digital marketing and social media.  His passion is creating transformational results through fully integrated brand activation together with integrated marketing plans across all consumer touch points and channels
