Joss & Main gives back to Habitat for Humanity in Boston and through national sales event
E-commerce private sale site and Habitat for Humanity partner to promote safe and accessible housing
Joss & Main has partnered with Habitat for Humanity in an effort to provide safe, decent, affordable housing in partnership with low-income families. The collaboration involves two parts—a local Joss & Main volunteer build with Habitat for Humanity Northshore, supported by 15 employees in Lynn, Massachusetts, and a national “Curate for a Cause” sales event taking place on JossandMain.com for 28 days, where 5 percent of purchases made will benefit Habitat.
“Habitat’s vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live strikes a chord with Joss & Main’s culture and has motivated our employees to give back through an all-day volunteer event in our Boston community,” said Paul Toms, general manager for Joss & Main. “At Joss & Main, we sell furnishings and décor that help transform a house into a home and create a positive and welcoming environment throughout. We’re pleased to give back and also motivate our shoppers to do the same as we make the dream of homeownership a reality for more people.”
“Through this partnership, Joss & Main is sharing opportunities to create affordable housing across their entire organization, from employees to customers,” said Colleen Finn Ridenhour, deputy director of corporate, foundation and institutional relations, Habitat for Humanity International. “These generous donations of labor and funds make the work of Habitat for Humanity possible. We are very grateful to the company and its employees and customers for this support.”
Joss & Main’s 28-day Curate for a Cause sale event will feature a variety of furniture and home décor. Core items such as console tables, couches, dining room tables, chairs, rugs and lighting make up the assortment, which will be available for purchase on the company’s site from July 1 through July 29.
