Disston™ Company introduces new RemGrit® logo

Disston, the global manufacturer of a wide range of power tool accessory products for DIY, contractor and industrial markets, has just developed and launched a new logo for its RemGrit® brand.
The new design will be used as both a graphic for its grit-edge identity and as a logo mark for its product packaging and marketing communications.
The announcement was made by Jim Kenney, Product Marketing Manager for Disston.
“Our primary objective in developing a new logo was to create a clean, modern and uniformed look for the RemGrit brand,” said Kenney. “We had been using the familiar green and yellow box design on all of our packaging since 1970 and in early 2000 for internal use and marketing. It was a look that served us well over the years, but we felt we needed to upgrade the look to work to our advantage in maintaining a strong RemGrit brand mark.”
The new logo update continues to use the same well-known green and yellow corporate colors as well as black outline with shadow and similar font to the current typography.
“The end result of our efforts is a crisper, cleaner and more modern appearance which we believe will create a stronger symbol to which all of our consumers can relate,” Kenney said. “The new logo is the first element of a new package design that Disston plans to launch in 2014. It is our hope that this ‘new face’ of RemGrit will allow consumers to more easily recognize our expanding line of grit-edge power tool accessory products.”
In addition to product packaging, the new logo is being incorporated into all marketing materials including website, social media, cataloging and other forms of communications.
Disston retail partners and media outlets may use the new logo immediately as needed.
Disston is a global manufacturer, distributor and marketer of power tool accessory products for the DIY, contractor and industrial markets. They market a wide range of products under brand names that include Blu-Mol®, Blu-Mol Xtreme®, RemGrit® and Aggressor®.
