Mobile Advertising Leader Vungle Scales Leadership Team, Including Ex-Facebook and Ex-Microsoft Veterans
SAN FRANCISCO – December 19, 2013 – Leading in-app video advertising platform, Vungle, today announces the hires of Arvind Gupta, Vice President of Product Management, Andrea Sharfin, Vice President of Marketing and Stan Kazmierczak, Chief Financial Officer. The three join Vungle’s rapidly expanding executive team and plan to strategically accelerate the next phase of growth for the company.
Gupta brings a proven track record of building, leading and managing successful global product teams in the Mobile, Video and Advertising spaces across Microsoft, Yahoo! and Oracle. Most recently as the Principal Group Program Manager in the Online Services Division at Microsoft, Gupta was responsible for managing the company’s business intelligence and billing products for Microsoft’s display advertising business. Prior to that at Yahoo!, he initiated, incubated, and led the development and launch of products that allowed Yahoo! to become the first search provider to deliver paid advertising for mobile search, driving an eight-figure business in less than three years. Gupta earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and an MBA from Columbia University.
Sharfin joins Vungle after serving as Product Marketing Manager for Disney Interactive, where she led marketing for Playdom.com. In her role, she helped increase monthly unique users by more than 600% using a combination of SEO, optimized paid advertising campaigns and landing page optimization. She also helped drive an increase in revenue of more than 300%. Prior to that, she was the Product Marketing Manager of Platform & APIs at Facebook, where she launched the Preferred Marketing Developer Program, which highlights best-in-class social marketing developers. After completing her undergraduate degree in religious studies at Cornell University, she earned her MBA at the Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Kazmierczak brings more than 20 years of experience in financial and operational executive roles. With an extensive background in raising private and public capital, he previously served as CFO at both Digital Link and VINA Technologies and guided both through IPOs. He also was CFO at Speedera Networks during the company’s sale to Akamai in 2005. He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration at San Jose State University and went on to attend the AEA/Stanford Executive Institute.
