Mike Dowdy Jumps On Board the Polaroid Action Team!

Ridgefield Park, N.J. - Polaroid, the 75-year-old brand synonymous with instant imaging, sharing and fun, adds another world class athlete to its Polaroid Action team to promote the new line of mountable hi-definition sports action cameras. Professional Wakeboarder Mike Dowdy is the newest addition to the Polaroid Action team, joining wakeboarder Noah Flegel and wakesurfer Keenan Flegel.

2012 Junior Pro Champion
Mike burst onto the pro wakeboarding scene in 2012 when he was named 2012 Wakegames Jr. Pro Men’s Champion and 2012 Jr. Pro Men’s Master’s Champion. Starting the 2013 season off strong, Mike has placed in the top five at every Pro Wakeboard Tour stop to date and was the Transworld Wake Magazine’s April cover athlete.

Wakeboarding piqued Mike’s interest at the early age of eight, when he was waterskiing with his family and saw wakeboarders on the lake. Deciding to give it a try, he signed up for lessons given by wakeboard pro Gerry Nunn and world champion Shaun Murray. He’s been hooked ever since. Now at 19, Mike Dowdy is also an avid skateboarder and traveler, having been around the globe to places such as Australia, Abu Dhabi and Panama.
