(Geneva, NY) The non-profit Finger Lakes Culinary Bounty (FLCB) is pleased to announce their annual fundraising dinner, held the first Monday of August on the stunning, lakefront grounds of Geneva on the Lake. On Monday, August 5, top regional chefs take to the kitchen to create a feast featuring ingredients from Finger Lakes farmers and complemented by local beverages.

“There is so much bounty all around us here in the Finger Lakes,” explains Board of Directors President, Kit Kalfs. “Our mission is to support and promote local bounty, so it makes perfect sense that our annual fundraiser will showcase not only the wines and foods of the region, but the incredible culinary talent we’re becoming famous for.”

“The highlight of the evening is the food and wine pairings. FLCB is all about linking people across the food system,” says Brud Holland, Board member and chef. “This year’s dinner showcases the connections between farmers, chefs, beverage makers and food enthusiasts.”

The dinner kicks off at 6:00pm with “Hors d’oeuvres on the Terrace”. During this hour, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy Finger Lakes fare – and chat directly with the farmers, chefs, and winemakers who produced it.

At 7:00pm the event moves into the tent for dinner. The main event consists of three fabulous courses paired with Finger Lakes wines followed by desserts, all highlighting local ingredients. For each delicious morsel served, a trio of chefs, winemakers, and farmers will share behind-the-scenes details on creating the evening’s culinary experience.

Michael Warren Thomas, radio host and producer of “For the Love of Food,” and “Discover the Finger Lakes” on WYSL, will emcee the event. The St. Peters Arts Academy and the Maplewood Jazz Team will provide live music.

An auction and raffle will showcase the best of the region’s bounty – featuring rare library wines that aren’t available in stores. Bidding will begin at 6pm, and winners will be announced throughout the evening. The auction benefits FLCB, the only Finger Lakes-wide non-profit dedicated to local food.

An outstanding Vegetarian option is available (guests should mention their preference when they make their reservations). See the attached link for menu details. Tickets to the Dinner are $75 a person and seating is limited. Reservations are being taken at Geneva on the Lake by calling 1-800-3-GENEVA. Overnight packages are also available.
