In his latest Amazon Kindle book, 70 Healthy Habits, S.J. Scott provides a solution to anyone who is tired of following fad diets or exercise programs that rarely create a healthier lifestyle.

On his blog, Develop Good Habits, Scott talks about how habit improvement is the only way to make a lifelong change. What he believes is people spend too much time counting calories and exercising in a way that does not focus on living a healthy life.

“Think of the successful people you admire,” Scott writes.  “Odds are they have a set routine that makes them high achievers.  They don’t ask the universe for a better life.  Instead, they go out and build one on a daily basis.  In other words, it’s their habits that separate them from everyone else.”

The goal of Scott’s book, 70 Healthy Habits is to show how anyone can build a healthier lifestyle by adopting slow changes into their lives.  Instead of following fad diets, he recommends people take a “30 Day Habit Challenge” to create one new routine each month.

Really, the only way to make a permanent change is to slowly introduce certain habits into your life,” said Scott. “Instead of following the all-or-nothing, cold-turkey mindset, you’ll slowly change your life for the better. When you do this for a few months, you’ll eat better, feel great and get more energy.”

Currently there is a lot of positive buzz related to Scott’s Kindle book.

One reader wrote: “Scott’s book is remarkable not just in its ability to bring together a list of powerful habits that anyone can adopt any time but also in its ability to do so in a way that we all can identify with. With increasing number of overweight population the world over, looking at our eating and general health habits cannot be over emphasized.

The book is packed full with advice and techniques that anyone can use to prevent most diseases like cancer, diabetes, obesity and heart diseases before they manifest. It also provides practical easy to follow exercise routines anyone can adopt no matter how busy you are to keep the body supple and in top shape so you can enjoy your life more.”

Besides writing Kindle books, Scott also regularly blogs on his website, DevelopGoodHabits.com where his mission is to help readers build a better life, one habit at a time.  Plus, he is currently working on a YouTube channel full of habit-related videos

Whereas many websites focus on motivational information, Scott likes to provide step-by-step strategies that anyone can follow.

“It can be hard to adopt a good habit or eliminate a bad one,” Scott writes.  “What I try to do is provide a solid framework where people can create a lasting change in their lives.  It is not enough to follow a strategy that someone else outlines.  Instead, a person has to understand the underlying motivations for why they follow specific routines.  The purpose of my blog is to help readers understand both the psychology and the physiology of their habits.”

Scott plans on publishing more books besides 70 Healthy Habits.  His goal is to provide simple guides that readers can use to build or eliminate specific habits.
