(Milbrae, CA) In 1965, one of the most popular and exciting groups in Rock and Roll, The Beau Brummels entered the music scene! They were America’s answer to the Beatles. Their signature songs, “Laugh Laugh,” “Just a Little” and “Don’t Talk to Strangers” all made the Billboard and Cashbox top 100 charts. In the First Annual Northern California Pop Music Awards, they were voted the number one new group in 1965. They had multiple singles in the Top 20 records charts of that era and they had several acclaimed albums, including Triangle and Bradley’s Barn.

Forty years later, The Beau Brummels have created a new CD titled Continuum. It features 18 songs written by Ron Elliott, who has been The Beau Brummels’ prolific songwriter. Elliott and the producer Lou Dorren wanted performances by all The Beau Brummels, but unfortunately John Petersen, the drummer, passed away in 2008. Three drum tracks that were recorded in 1965 by Petersen were found. After listening to these tracks, one of the tracks was chosen and Elliott wrote a song to go along with this track. That song is the lead song of the new Continuum CD and is titled “She Is.” This performance has all of the original Beau Brummels performing together again.

Fifteen songs are new and three of their signature songs have been re-recorded, including “Just a Little,” “Don’t Talk to Strangers” and “Laugh Laugh.” The CD has a 36 page booklet full of the history of The Beau Brummels and some great photos from then and now.
