Southampton, Bucks County, PA  -- The Growth Opportunity Center, a nonprofit organization providing a full range of mental and behavioral health services to the community, is planning an Open House on April 19, 2013, to celebrate its move to a beautiful new 7500 square-foot space located in the Southampton Office Park, 928 Jaymor Road, Southampton, PA.

Over 70 licensed clinicians representing a variety of field specializations work at the center, including social workers, licensed professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, speech and language pathologist, and tutors.

The Growth Opportunity Center provides individual and family counseling, evaluations, educational assessment and support, and psychiatric medication management, as well as specialized services in speech and language, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety disorders, and attention deficit disorders. Providers work with individuals and families throughout the lifespan, from the very young to geriatric.

Diane Sizer, PhD, a licensed psychologist and graduate of Bryn Mawr College became Executive Director in 2012, while the Center was still located in Huntingdon Valley, and noticeably outgrowing its office space. She is excited to show off the new larger space, which  “allows us to help more people, with more private offices, a comfortable lobby, and more inviting environment for both clients and staff.” Dr. Sizer also appreciates Southampton for its local shopping and restaurants, a great convenience for clinicians and busy families who visit the Center.

The Growth Opportunity Center started 39 years ago, associated with the Gloria Die Church, and has steadily expanded, necessitating several moves to accommodate the growing staff and clientele. For several years, The Center has been the largest non-profit agency of its kind in the Delaware Valley, and contracts with most major insurance companies.

The Growth Opportunity Center’s mission is to continually strive to partner with the highest qualified service providers to support the needs of the community. Programs and services are provided to all without discrimination based on race, creed, sexual orientation, or other diversity factors.

The Open House will be held  April 19, 5-8 pm. The Center invites professionals in the community who are interested in learning more about its services to visit the improved facility and meet the clinical staff. If you are interested in attending or learning about the open house, please call Diane Sizer, PhD at 215-947-8654, ext 269.
