Nearly every person that is over 21 years old, wants to have beautiful, younger looking skin. And it is not unusual for individuals to think that cosmetics procedures can solve damaged skin problems, or improve one’s appearance in hours.

The truth is, that cosmetic procedures can help certain people, but for people who earn average wages, the answer is much simpler and more affordable.

Jennie Yoon Buchanan, a MD and medical director of women’s imaging for a large hospital system in middle Florida, knows about the impact of skin related problems. As she states in a recent interview, “Sure, some of us are born with good skin. Genetics plays a role in the production of great skin, but even if you were born with the best skin possible, if you don’t take care of it, soon or later, your skin will look aged and pasty.”

Dr. Buchanan has written a simple to understand book of formulas and skin care tips that shines the light on many of the things that men and women do to damage their skin. She alerts us to the dangers of sunlight and the myriad of skin problems, including skin cancers, that can attack skin that is not protected with sun block.

Through Dr. Buchanan’s book, “Anti-Aging Skin Care Simplified”, she reveals some little known details about how the body’s system actually works 24/7 to preserve the look of healthy skin. In her own words Dr. Buchanan states, “Just like any other body part, skin continually renews. Old cells die and are brought to the surface to be shed while new cells grow underneath. Throughout your life, your skin will change constantly. In fact, your skin will regenerate itself approximately every 27 days!”
