Product innovation company names new vice president of products and vice president of manufacturing operations

MINNEAPOLIS – Oct. 31, 2012 — As Logic PD manages continued customer growth and expansion into new markets, the company today announced the appointment of two senior executive leaders. Tim Kensok was named vice president of products, and Daniel Peckskamp will serve as vice president of manufacturing operations. Logic PD is a trusted product innovation company that primarily serves the medical, agricultural, industrial control, and military/aerospace industries with an embedded product portfolio and extensive design, engineering and manufacturing expertise.

“We are continuously researching and developing new technologies and processes to bring innovative products to market faster while maintaining the highest quality,” said Michael Davis, CEO, Logic PD. “Tim and Dan have extensive experience in their respective domains and will be key contributors to Logic PD and our customers as we explore new technologies and offerings.”

As the vice president of products, Kensok will oversee Logic PD’s product roadmap and the development and commercialization of future products.

“Logic PD has developed some of the most cutting edge embedded solutions in the marketplace,” said Kensok. “Looking ahead, I believe we will be a key contributor to the development of connected solutions based on our expertise and access to advanced technologies via our partner relationships.”

Kensok joined Logic PD from AirAdvice, Inc., a provider of energy diagnostic technology and programs for HVAC, commercial real estate and energy engineering markets, where he served as the vice president of market development. In this role, Kensok led the development and launch of new wireless sensing and communications hardware and a web-based software platform for energy diagnostics of commercial buildings.

Prior to AirAdvice, Kensok spent more than 12 years at Honeywell International, where he last served as a product marketing leader in the Automation and Control Solutions business. In this role, he and his team introduced new product platforms and expanded into new distribution channels, resulting in more than $20 million in new revenue. Kensok started his career as a development project engineer for Alliant Techsystems, a multi-billion dollar aerospace and defense supplier.

Also announced today, as the vice president of manufacturing operations, Peckskamp will oversee all of Logic PD’s manufacturing operations-related activities.

“Logic PD serves a critical market need – product innovation from concept to production – but what makes this company unique is its consistent management and regulated processes that are enforced throughout every step of the product creation process,” said Peckskamp. “Logic PD’s well-established processes ensure delivery of the highest quality end products that work right the first time and meet the necessary standards and regulations. In the end, it’s this quality assurance and a proven track record that define Logic PD.”

Prior to joining Logic PD, Peckskamp was the vice president of operations for the shared services division of Patterson Companies, a publicly-held, specialty distributor within the dental, companion-pet veterinary and rehabilitation supply markets. In this role, Peckskamp managed a $220 million annual operating budget. Within two years, he managed a distribution center consolidation strategy that achieved an annual savings of $20 million, and incorporated a sales branch real estate strategy that saved business units $2.5 million annually in operating leases.

Prior to Patterson, Peckskamp served as the vice president of global operations for ADC Telecommunications, a publicly-traded, global organization specializing in products that enable broadband service providers to upgrade telecom networks. In this role, he managed 14 operations and was responsible for 6,000 employees located in eight countries. He spent more than 22 years at ADC. Peckskamp also served as the vice president of manufacturing for Walker & Associates, a telecommunications products distributor.

Kensok earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from North Dakota State University. He has been awarded 14 U.S. patents and is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, past advisor to the Indoor Air Quality Association Board of Directors, and a past member of Board of Directors, Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute. He is a regular speaker at industry events and has published several articles.

Peckskamp earned a master’s degree in manufacturing systems engineering from St. Thomas University and a bachelor’s degree in business from St. Cloud State University.  He is a member of the American Production & Inventory Control, CPIM certified; the Society of Mechanical Engineers; and the President Advisory Counsel.
