Cloud computing company iomart Hosting sponsors UK’s best known social media awards
iomart Hosting today announces that it is the headline sponsor for the Social Buzz Awards 2012 which recognise and reward the most effective social media campaigns produced in the UK.
iomart Hosting powers the websites and online marketing campaigns for digital media and marketing agencies across the UK, offering a super-fast fibre network, 100% business uptime and round-the-clock technical support from six major data centre locations in London, Manchester, Maidenhead, Glasgow, Leicester and Nottingham. We decided to sponsor the Social Buzz Awards to help widen the recognition for the talented individuals, companies and agencies who are transforming social media communications in the UK.
Phil Worms, Director Marketing for iomart Hosting, stated: “As one of the UK’s leading providers of cloud services we support the platforms and technologies that enable effective global communication, so we’re honoured and delighted to have the opportunity to celebrate the individuals and organisations that are using social media effectively for their own businesses and their clients.
There are many excellent examples of people doing amazing things with social media but often with little individual or collective recognition, which is why we’re supporting the Social Buzz Awards as they clearly address this situation. We’re looking forward to seeing some very worthy winners crowned in November.”
Lynn Lester, event director for the Social Buzz Awards, commented: “We are delighted to welcome iomart Hosting on board as headline sponsor of the Social Buzz Awards. iomart Hosting has a great reputation for hosting the technology needed to power today’s social media and marketing campaigns. Their involvement will give even more integrity to the awards.”
The Social Buzz Awards were established last year by The Drum, the award-winning marketing and media news website, to reward the creativity, innovation and strategic thinking being used in social media marketing and communications in the UK. Awards categories include Best Use of Twitter and Facebook, as well as Social Media Agency of the Year and In-House Client Team. This year’s winners will be announced at a gala awards ceremony at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium on November 28.
Last week iomart Hosting announced that it had won the contract to ensure the highly available online presence for The Drum’s own websites via its VMware-powered CloudSure platform.
