CUPERTINO, CA – August 1, 2012 – Intransa, the physical security infrastructure and services company today announced a Latin America distribution partnership with ScanSource Latin America, and the expansion of its distribution channel into Central and Latin America. As a wholesale value added distributor specializing in technology products, ScanSource Latin America provides IP-based physical security sales and services to resellers in Central and Latin America and the Caribbean.
The partnership will extend the reach of Intransa’s video-optimized open platform server and storage appliances into the region. Intransa’s video-optimized platforms are built for the unique demands of video security and are integrated with its security-oriented services portfolio for affordable and simplified local installations as well as for use in advanced cloud deployments.
"Latin America is an enormous growth market for physical security and with recent legislation requiring 90 days of storage in some applications companies in the region are turning to best-in-class technologies that have reliable, easy-to-use platforms designed specifically for physical security,” said Alex Doorduyn, director international sales, Intransa. “IP-based security products have had an increased demand due to its flexibility and scalability and the ScanSource partnership allows more companies than ever before to have access to the best technology.”
Suitable for individual deployments or as a scalable, cloud-based infrastructure, Intransa platforms deliver high definition (HD) video optimized servers and storage. Intransa’s platforms are designed to be affordable for single project security deployments with just a small number of IP cameras and a few days of recording, yet can scale cost-efficiently and easily to meet the big data needs of projects with hundreds or even thousands of cameras and months to years of video recording capacity.
“We are pleased to introduce the Intransa VideoAppliance™, EnterpriseServer™ and EnterpriseStorage™ products to the Latin America IP video surveillance market,” said Diego Lozano, director security division, ScanSource. “Intransa’s products are well-known throughout the world for their open platforms and extended services and we hope to capitalize on that opportunity by launching its IP product portfolio into Latin America.”
All Intransa platforms include Standard Warranty and Support, with 3 years of comprehensive system hardware and software coverage. Also included is GroundCrew™phone-home, which monitors the health of fans, drives, power supplies and other system components, and notifies our warranty department to dispatch replacement parts in the event of a failure.
