Grants SEAT Shortlisted for Motor Trader Awards 2012

Grants SEAT have been shortlisted for a further four awards and hope to continue their glory at the 2012 Motor Trader awards.

Braintree, Essex, UK -- As a single location, SEAT dealership based in Braintree, Essex, Grants SEAT could appear to be small fry compared to many other larger dealer groups. However Grants have been making up for their size with their constant innovation and willingness to experiment, especially when it comes to marketing strategy.

Over the years, Grants SEAT has won awards for their marketing strategy, including winning the top prize for Best Digital Initiative at the Automotive Management Awards in February of this year.

Grants strong focus on community building and their willingness to engage informally and not take themselves too seriously has enabled them to build an active Twitter and Facebook following. Many car dealers feel that they should be getting involved in the Social Media space but lack of resource and direction inevitably leaves them with another platform to send out sales messages to an uninterested and often non-existent audience. Grants instead have understood that the secret to social media success for a car dealership lies in the leveraging of currently existing local communities.

Not only do Grants use their social media platforms to engage with their current community, they have also been able to generate new leads and indeed sales, through their interaction with those talking about SEAT locally on Twitter.

Further to previous awards; Grants SEAT has been shortlisted in four categories for the upcoming Motor Trader Awards which are taking place in the Grosvenor House Hotel, London on 11 July 2012.

These awards include two marketing awards; Digital Initiative of the Year Award and the Dealer Marketing Award, as well as personal award nomination for Dealer Principal of the Year Award, for which Grants Managing Director Darren Williams has been shortlisted.

Communications Manager, Katie Williams has said of the nominations: “The Motor Trader Awards are among the most fiercely-contested and prestigious in the UK, thus just making the grade is no mean feat. So to learn that we have been shortlisted in four categories is fantastic and we are absolutely thrilled. Awards like these give our customers and potential customers confidence in us as a business and show us the areas in which we are performing well so we can remain at the top of our game.”

The automotive industry has seen some tough times in recent years and it takes innovation to enable a dealer to compete. Grants SEAT are an impressive example of innovation in action and continue to sell new and used cars in Essex using a combination of traditional and digital marketing methods.
