Dr. Michael Beckwith of “The Secret” joins The Gathering, a 7-day “Conscious Woodstock” festival in Canada

Woodstock, Ontario, Canada - March 22, 2012 - The Gathering welcomes Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith to the growing list of conscious speakers from around the world who will share their wisdom at this 7-day meditation, yoga and sacred music festival.  Dr. Beckwith will present “New Thought, Ancient Wisdom” to start off the week-long event, running from July 27 to August 2, 2012, on a farmland venue near Woodstock, Ontario in Canada.

Dr. Michael Beckwith is perhaps best known for his appearance in the film “The Secret” as well as being the founder and spiritual leader of the Agape International Spiritual Center in Los Angeles, California.  He is a sought-after meditation teacher and bestselling author, and travels internationally to speak at events teaching the Life Visioning Process that he devised to share principles of universal truth.

Dr. Beckwith is a recognized emissary of peace, winning many awards for his humanitarian efforts.  His media appearances include The Dalai Lama Renaissance, The Secret, The Oprah Winfrey Show and Larry King Live on CNN.  He is the co-director of A Season for Nonviolence, an elected Assembly Member of Parliament of the World’s Religions, and founder and President of the Association for Global New Thought.

The Gathering is a seven-day “Conscious Woodstock” retreat which invites 100,000 participants to be guided toward self-realization.  The event is facilitated by dozens of living enlightened spiritual masters, each sharing their unique perspective on awakening, as well as the practices and teachings of the world’s conscious traditions.  The year 2012, being the last year of the Mayan Calendar, is said to be a time of great personal and planetary transformation, making this a perfect time for this first-ever festival of human consciousness.
