St. Petersburg, Florida – December 8, 2011 – The Admiral Farragut Academy Blue Jackets fought their way to the Florida State High School Football Championship Game by defeating Belle Glades Day School 42 to 16 last Friday. Admiral Farragut plays North Florida Christian in the Class 2A Finals this Friday. Game time is 1:06pm at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando.

Admiral Farragut is a powerhouse in Florida football with an overall 12-1-0 record for 2011. Their wins have been impressive all year with an average of 37.7 points per game, 193.8 rushing yards per game, and 121.2 passing yards per game.

Kyle and Austin came to Farragut to win a State Championship.  Kyle Craichy #12 is one of two starting quarterbacks for Admiral Farragut and is 6’3” and weighs 185 pounds.  Kyle was named the 2011 season’s first HighSchoolSports.net Player of the Week for the Tampa Bay region. Dave Wirth, Sports Director of WTSP-TV, wrote that he liked Kyle for Player of the Week because he was 9 of 16 passing for an impressive 231 yards in the Blue Jackets’ 42-7 win over Victory Christian. After watching that same game at the beginning of this season, Channel 10 sports reporter Michael Moore wrote, “Admiral Farragut looks like a team that could challenge for a state championship.” He was right because the Blue Jackets are in Friday’s Championship Game.

Kyle’s younger brother Austin also plays for Admiral Farragut as a receiver and on special teams. Austin Craichy #11 is also a quarterback. Both Kyle and Austin have played quarterback since they were 6 years old and both train with QB Guru Tom Martinez who has been Tom Brady’s QB coach since he was 13 years old. “These boys are special [Kyle and Austin]. Kyle understands the game, has a big arm and is very accurate.  He has really been able to grasp what I teach and his throwing mechanics show it.  Austin has great feet, some of the best I have seen. By the time he is Kyle’s age he will also be a force to be reckoned with,” Tom Martinez said. They have also trained with former NFL QB Jeff Carlson and of course their father from an early age.

Kyle and Austin are also classical pianists and Black Belts in Yon Ch’uan Christian Martial Arts. They are homeschooled and the oldest of five children. Kyle and Austin’s parents are KC and Monica Craichy, Founders of Living Fuel – The Leader in Superfood Nutrition.
